The Daily Paintworks Challenge
has raised $4000.00 for Japan relief.
Artists are asked to paint a small painting with only one stroke of a color at a time.
After one stroke is applied a new color has to be mixed.
This exercise prevents over working of a painting and getting too caught up in the details!
The paintings are auctioned with proceeds going to help Japan.

As I look around my garden, marveling at how God's hand makes beautiful buds from seemingly dead and withered branches, I see a little gardenia bush that I had planted last year.
This poor bush had a rough year.
It was constantly dug up and chewed at by my new puppy. It endured a scorching summer with very little rain and it just looked as if it was not going to make it, but today I see a small leaf starting to form, there is green in the limbs and there is hope all around.
So if you feel that you have been dug up and chewed upon, that you have had to endure a drought of some kind....take heart...spring is such a wonderful time to remember:
"Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, O God,
and your dominion endures through all generations.
The Lord is faithful to all his promises and loving
toward all that he has made." Psalm 145: 13
