Peter Paul Reubens  

Born 1577 in what is now known as Belgium

In 1577 Reubens was Born to a  struggling middle class family.   He rose to the  highest order of European Aristocracy based on his artistic merit

Twice knighted by  England's KIng Charles as well as King Phillip of Spain.

The mostt renound painter of his day,  Reubens was granted  access to many European monarchs including King Charles of England and King Philip IV of Spain.     

 Reubens became a diplomat  involved in clandestine mediations between King Charles of England and King Phillip of Spain.  

He was instrumental in bringing the 8 Years War, which ravaged his homeland to an end.

Of strong moral character, humble beginnings, and a charming personality,  Reubens has earned a place in art history as a genius and master of his craft.
